Notes About The Poem

The Cross Laments

I

~ He died in my arms -

life flowing out with His blood ...

as I wept red tears ~

II

~ I was once beauty -

branched full with life abiding ...

now I am but cursed ~

Perfectly portrayed and imaged. The Lord Himself is beaming down at you for this exquisitely crafted depiction. Blessings, Gershon

Thank you SO much, my good friend, this means a lot to me ... this was a tough write, believe-it-or-not, to walk the line between personification and not taking away from the power of the event and what it meant. Blessings!
