The Crap Shoot Poetry Contest

On the surface 
you’re all sweetness and light

But ... 
the truth is life isn't a game
and if I were to start digging
digging deeper than a gravediggers soiled shovel
I'd see through your libelous lies 
which spread daily
like a cankerous carbuncle

Well honey
I’m shooting from the hip -
why can’t you simply sit on your fingers?

Just cut the crap
I’m through with your festering fallacies
get a life
and leave me to live mine in peace

gosh you did such a good job here, jan. I am so bad at interpreting these contests that do not spell things out for people!! For me, crap shoot could just mean to throw in any poem at all. but maybe not??

Sure have seen our share of phonies :-( As for The Bay I found it totally gripping, one of the best dramas I've seen in a while with so many twists and turns so many lies and the ending was quite a surprise:-) hugs Jan xx

Thanks Connie, sorry I've not been in touch I've had my son home for 4 days, its the first time we've seen him since new Year so I grabbed 10 mins on the site yesterday and was inspired after I saw a dark poem by Sunshine and thought I would change my style . Last night I was catching up on 3 episodes of a tv series called 'the bay' a murder drama which had so many lies you didn't know who dunit until the very last few scenes and this dark poem was spawned lol:-) hugs jan xx
