The Cowboy Way
It's the cowboy way
that's what they say
the big ten-gallon hat
the gun on his hip, all that
the chaps, the saddle, and the horse,
the drawl and twang in his voice,
riding south on the cattle drive
catching view of an Indian tribe,
just a ghostly image of a time-old tale
pioneers on the Oregon trail,
take me back in time again
when a cowgirl loved a cowboy back then
and in the horizon of the western sun
both were happy when the day was done.
