The Cover

Shocking, controversial
Glaring at the cover
Turning your head away
Judging the contents
Before reading one page
Closing your mind
Banishing all ideas
That don’t fit the pretty little picture
Inside your head
Lullabies and fairytales
Keep you safe
Like a naive child
Blindly following the ideas of others
Instead of forming beliefs of your own
If I removed the cover
You would see your
Hidden thoughts displayed
Wickedness roams your mind too
No different from the author
Just dressing in hypocrites garments
Hoping that no one will ever find out
Who you really are
