The Cornflakes of My Sorrow

If I might propose a toast
to an aromatic morning roast,
where the orange juice of yesterday
meets the oatmeal of tomorrow,
and the milk of a continental buffet
drowns the Corn Flakes of my sorrow.

I love coffee, but unfortunately, I gave it up a long time ago. Given the options of this poem, I'd take the cornflakes. I actually love them, so they're more like cornflakes of happiness, but that didn't rhyme - lol.

A continental breakfast with an existential crunch— cheers to soggy sorrows and freshly brewed hope!
