The Corner
I sit in the corner and watch the world
Confused at what I see
While trying my best to figure out
What part of this world is me?
I hide my eyes, too scared to look
This corner, I never leave
Safe and sound as the world goes by
Not knowing what to believe
From here I can't see a future
I keep living my life in the past
I try to move on but my fears hold tight
Haunted, by the shadows they cast
Crippled, I sit, day after day
The whispers will keep me in place
Not strong enough to stand on my own
Too scared of what I will face
I sit in the corner and watch the world
Confused at what I see
While trying my best to figure out
What part of this world is me?
