The Consummation of Greed

Thinking of the world as I stare into the nightfall bliss
Of eternity
My people are at war with the forces of religious hope
What god can send cure to these happenings
Fallen angels lie broken, sweating out the bullets placed by man
Circles of light flash off the waters coast
As the suckling is wrenched from it's mother's breast
Placed within its broken abode
The tearful cries of life slowly dispersing to a place of peace.

I struggle to find reason of these faith controlled minds
Why man to kill man can retain a higher value
Can there be justification for the soul blindly departed?
A man forced to breathe the dust of the earth
As his life is extinguished
The consummation of greed
For Democracy, for the love of God
Or for whomever can control the wallet of humanity
The struggle for mankind to be holier than thou.

Now as I sit and stare into the night
The stars in their brilliance shine upon me
I am able to share in their comforts of reality
Basking in their ignorance of faith
Though this moment, looking up to the sky
I see the light of the sun with great intensity
The creation of the man made God
Unleashed upon the world to bring to not
The existence of mankind.
