The Construction Song
Where is humanity driving us today?
Which couple is trying to invest in housing to stay?
With spaces and places hiking in price,
Mankind suffers in swathing High-rise fries!
We toil day and night – to get some dough in our kitty
We could manage our hunger to make sure nobody will later pity,
We save hard to make better our each day
And spend in thrift – So that no one could ever say,
That we try to live above our reach….
Allowing just about everyone to come and preach
That every brick we put into our home,
Carries the sweat we shed, upon building that pretty dome
That we call “Dream” and strive to make things work for us
But Dreams are what we yearn to believe without a fuss,
So don’t make them a song and dance
Life is too short to keep up such a trance
Work hard to make a lot of money,
While time flies, you gotta build a house for yourself honey,
That will stand the tests of time for you
And for everyone in your family too!
