The Colour of Black

The black colour
Though a shadow of fear
An eclipse of the sun or the moon
A darkness of unknown and waiting danger
A mourning atmosphere
As bad luck as the crow
Figuratively they are and of no choice
But dresses in black may look tidy and fresh
Classy and elegant
Documents in black and white
May be a credential to dignity
And a contribution to its innocence and pride
And thus it goes
To every cloud there is a silver lining
