The Colour of Black

The black colour Though a shadow of fear An eclipse of the sun or the moon A darkness of unknown and waiting danger A mourning atmosphere As bad luck as the crow Figuratively they are and of no choice But dresses in black may look tidy and fresh Classy and elegant Documents in black and white May be a credential to dignity And a contribution to its innocence and pride And thus it goes To every cloud there is a silver lining
