The Colors Change

I sit in front of my window and watch the treetops change. It brings me to a place where you weren't so out of range. You were with me and I looked to see the color of your eyes. You were looking back to my surprise. I felt a feeling of joy flutter inside me like no other feeling I ever had. Now when I think about it that feeling turns sad. We shared something that most people never have before. Our hearts joined as one and our wings began to sore. You had me from that moment locked in your deep green eyes. I couldn't turn away, couldn't blink. Your stare had me so mesmorized. We gave each one a piece of each other that will never go away. I love you still as I did that first time you caught my eye on that wonderful day. Now I sit and watch the tree tops change to orange and yellow against the blue sky. The wind terrorizes me as it tells my secrets while going by. Your deep green eyes will be with me until the day of my death. I will see them as I close my eyes and take my last breath. This's the third time the leaves have changed since I saw you last. My heart and mind are stuck in the past. What am I thinking? This's is just a game. The one I know I'm supposed be with doesn't even know my name.
