The Color of Night and Day

What is the color of day
The color of night
Sometimes a hardened steely gray
Others soft as candlelight

Red skies in the morning
Sailors need take heed
With no need for a warning
If red skies at night the day proceeds

No better the sunny weather
That makes my mornings shine
But then you can't beat the cool air treat
Of a star filled sky at night

The skies of blue never do
Have the blues per say
And the blackest night mood feels just right
When you give the blues away

What is the color of day
The color of night
Whatever color they choose I've news for you
The color is just right
