Notes About The Poem

The Color of My Heart

The color of my heart is red- and true. Dark red glows love- pink, altruistic care. But at the same time, radiates rich blue as loyalty dwells strong and deep in there. Just like a rainbow, it can wane soft green to share with all, its peaceful, tranquil hue; then show bright rays of orange-tangerine when creativity yields its gifts too. And golden yellow blends right in to spread, as my heart holds up hope for all to feel. Throughout my life, past, present, and ahead, my heartfelt empathies- their tints reveal. My heart, both in and out, is rainbow-lined- the spectrum of its colors, unconfined.
