The Cold Wind Blows

THE COLD WIND BLOWS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT,
SOMETHING DOESN'T FEEL QUITE RIGHT,

THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT WALK WITHIN PARK,
THEY WAIT TO GO IN .
WAIT FOR THE DARK.

YOU SEE THE ICEICLES HANGING FROM THE TREES
AND IT'S VERY VERY
 COLD ABOUT 22 DEGREES,

THAT'S WHAT LIFE IS FOR SOME PEOPLE, THAT HAVE NO
PLACE TO LAY. HOPING TO JUST WAKE UP TO SEE THE LIGHT
OF ANOTHER DAY.

AND WHEN THAT DAY COMES AND GOES, WHERE THEY SLEEP TONIGHT
I RECKON NOBODY KNOWS!

Today I have stopped back to read more of your excellent poetry Penny. I will be back again soon and hope to see some more poetry written here by you. If you feel it in your heart then write it as that is where the best poetry comes from. Love, Carol
