The Cold, Cold Night

The days drag by day by day
And the only thing I can say,
Is I hope you're still thinking my way.
As I lay and think all day and night,
About you and our perfect night.
It went by so fast, a blink of an eye,
While I shot out all those corny lines.
You're smile never seemed to fade,
As we stared into the night amazed.
The stars were as bright as you're eyes
And the air was so cold we almost died.
But we snuggled close to stay alive,
And we never really seemed to mind.
How cold it was because you see,
We never had such great shivers in our knees.
