The Clock Struck Midnight

The clock struck midnight,
And for the rest of my life,
I will relive that joyous moment,
You entered my world.

It wasn't your charm,
Or your breathtaking smile,
It was the love in your eyes,
That took me joyously by surprise.

The gentleness in your stare,
Filled the room with light,
Illuminating everything,
As you stood there tonight.

Overwhelming me with love,
And your gentle touch,
I will always remember tonight,
When the clock struck midnight.
