The Clock Is Ticking

Can you hear the clock ticking? It gets louder every year, A time piece that reminds me, That my eternity is getting near. Can you hear the clock ticking? It runs faster all the time, How many ticks do I have left? Numbered are the days that are mine. Can you hear the clock ticking? It echoes in my ear, I try not to dwell on, My ever-growing fear. Can you hear the clock ticking? It keeps running never a doubt, Like sand thru the hour glass, Only to stop when my ticks run out.

G'day Timothy … yes, it's when we don't hear the tick-tock - my brother uses the toilet roll theory; the closer the end the quicker it goes - thanks Mate - Lindsay

Lovely poem, Timothy. I too fear that time will run out... I can see myself saying 'but |I can't, I'm not finished all my projects'... other than that I don't think there's much else to worry about. Our concern only means we are getting a chance to tie up loose ends in advance in order to make sure we have no regrets when the time does come... Could actually be considered a reward... Line xx

i like you worry about time running out before I get things done. One of these days I guess I should not start any new projects. I am close to my oldest grandson. He is 15. My youngest is on the way. I wonder if I will have time to get close to it. xx
