The Click
The brown piece of copper rang through the air.
Everything went peacefully quiet.
All emotions were frozen
Even the motion of the little lethal piece of metal
A pin could be heard and the horror was visible on my face
A thousand and one thoughts of a thoughtless lifetime skated across my mind
All the lies of realities that were just but clusters of impurities
I could feel
I could feel cold frightened gushes of adrenaline pumping through my veins
I could feel
I could feel little droplets of fear wetting my pants with pains
I could feel
I could feel panicky teardrops running away from my eyes like a hundred rains
The little pricky life-ending emotionless piece of metal drone through the air in slow motion
Time stood still and no one seemed to move
I saw a feeling laden tear frozen on a woman’s face
Her mouth rounded for a scream but not a sound I could hear
The silence was so paining
Stinging my eardrums against the drumming workshop that was my brain, my pain
The revolver was still pointed at me
the barrel still smoking
Calm whiskers of smoke sailing through frozen space
As if mocking my soon to be sailing soul
Then everything went black.
