The Clear View

Now, while the fragrance of youth
still moistens the passion of life,
and ripples from a midnight kiss
still surround us,
let us gather into the scarf of love
every perfect fruit from this fertile meadow~
against the time when reminiscences
become but a swirl in the curve of the river.

Your words fill the heart and roll gently off the tongue drifting quietly into memory. This poem lifts its message over the words like a warm wind might rattle the leaves on a summer's eve, leaving understanding and sadness in its wake. Very well written my friend, Emile.
