The Claddagh

With the heart
Love is shown
With the hands
Friendship grown
With the crown
Loyalty, give
With all three
It’s best to live

The symbol of the claddagh
For all to behold
Is a symbol of faith
A story to be told
For Richard Joyce
Captured, enslaved
Prospered as goldsmith
the claddagh he made
