THE CITY

a respite
an evening silence
all objects quiet
yet this clamorous echo
fills my head


the city
with everything to do
lots of excitement
but here am i
atop my quiet mountain

Michelle Mac Donald Date: 1/26/2015 6:44:00 PM This is a heart reaching write, Daver! For myself, I'd pick the mountain. Then again I will always love the water most. On "quiet" days when the surface is stil, it will mock by mirroring the sky. I could join you on that mountain, if you need to hear noise, I'm a pro doing that. The hustle and bustle of city life, or...40 diferent species of birds singing out my bedroom window...all day and all night; mom and dad racoon and the 8 children, and their 13 cousins and three diferent breeds of feild mice, momma bear and baby bear; Alvin and allll of the chipmonks...LMAO..oh and I should concider the 3000 plus varieties of spiders and every other funny looking bug top the mounain !
