The Circum Stance of the Heart

As he stood in the doorway
Thinking on the cost
"I will NOT be controlled"
Counted his past life lost

She sat huddled in a corner
Dark, damp, and cold
"If there were a god"
Fiddled with...everything...off/odd

Down the street, riots erupted
With "humans" demanding rights
"Release the Kraken"
Blunted axes and struck souls with radiant lights

....nothing is free....verse

The price!?! What is the freakin' price???
Who determines the unseen law
Some red dragon
With the blood of creation dripping from his jaw

Back at the farm, far from reality
Sits a family having dinner
All of them saints
Clothed in the filth of a sinner

NOTHING but naked
Enters this world
And nothing but humbled will leave
Everything within a heart
Bought and yielded
To LOVE alone will it's core cleave
