The Chosen
See the flower of life
in the darkest sea
still
unmoving can be
perfection is everything
awake and pregnant is she
his birth initiates
enlightening
An instant of faith
are the chosen
changed irreversibly
eyes wide open
are no longer bound
to the tricks of Sodom
Gomorrah's destruction
a prophecy
It is but a whisper
a gentle sigh
has come to tell them
What do they hear
what do they see
they are the chosen
as they leave their footprints
in history
A voice they hear
beyond comprehension
the word as it is
given to them
a sudden realization
their connection
the voice of the chosen
Was it something inside you
all along
something which was never seen
all along
something which has always been
and something the chosen
have learned to see
Is there someone inside you
who needs to be loved
is their someone inside you
who needs to believe
And if you awaken
from your dream
who will your savior
learn to save
what will you see
and who will you be
when you are chosen

do you believe
in anything
an instant of faith
