My opinion as to why the U.S.A. is where it is today. We are the ones we choose through elections. We, the people, are the fault.
The Choices By Franklin Price 7/3/2016 The choices that we're offered For our next president Are questionable, at the very best What have the parties sent? What happened to the process? Who chose these two to run? Some think was not the people But the ones in Washington The political do-nothings The Senate and the House The president we have today All they ever do is grouse Do not accept the job they do Blame it on the other side Not there to make decisions But for the money and the ride The people are frustrated Don't like the things we see Don't like our representatives Not there for you and me So why did we elect them? I think the question's fair Many did not go to vote Why should they even care? When we have that attitude We have the government we've got The people must be interested Or this will always be our lot Now that we have reached this point Have the Clinton and the Trump The former is establishment The latter quite a different bump The people are responsible We cannot pass the buck Previous lack of interest Makes this election really suck
