The Child's Prayer

THE CHILD’S PRAYER
May I hear
When you call
Hold you tight
In case I fall.

Your great works
May I cheer
Hold your promise
Really near.

May your words
Be my song
On my lips
All day long.

May I listen
When you talk
Follow humbly
When you walk.

May your amour 
Be my gear
Your guiding light
Never to veer.

May I wake
When you prod
All just because
You are my God.
