Trying to capture the feelings I remember as a child at Christmas. . . this poem is one of twenty I have uploaded as multimedia presentations to YouTube (to my channel, Idyllic Productions).

To children's eyes in mid-December, a city street winks and twinkles. The towering collage of lights and patterns seems majestic and surreal. Silvers, reds, and living greens all conjure up exotic scents and whisper hints of private promises, smiling, shining, blowing kisses.

I remember, it was a much more magical time when I was young. I now enjoy watching the children knowing that they are feeling those same feelings I felt all those years ago. I really enjoyed your poem
