The Children Outside the Window

As I look out the window
to see the children play.
I thank God above
for allowing me this day.

The laughter rings so loud
with smiles upon their face.
Stress is no where found
they found the perfect place.

You can see the happiness
it shows deep in their eyes.
I wish I could join them
I'd need a good disguise.

Both little boys and girls
of every race and creed.
All of them together
each helping to succeed.

No hostilities can be found
as they play there for hours.
Upon the grassy fields
beside my favorite flowers.

As I watch the children play
I feel like I've been blessed.
While watching them at play
will never leave me depressed.
