The Children Know Me
It is one of those dilly dally silly sally moments.
I am trying my best to look normal,
Anyway, my semblance of it.
Pretending to be status quo
Even though the children know me.
They are grinning at me, hoping I will show
The adults my true colors.
I will not.
I have conditioned myself to pretend adult.
Yes, I can pretend I am socialized….
Until one of the adults who thinks
they know more than the rest of us,
the pseudo intellectual pompous adult
says or does….
Something that is
So
Inane
And
Silly
I catch the eye of one of the all-knowing children,
and the insane grinning begins.
It is impossible to fool children…
