The Cheated

A tissue is handed
Through the air

Did you think it would
Catch my tears

As you said, "Goodbye"?

You pretended
To love me

I can pretend
It doesn't hurt

As I hand the tissue back to you

Your stance becomes unstable
Tears fill your eyes

For the cheater has been cheated

You vanish into the distance
Carrying the last of your scent away
