The Chase

The thrill I find is in the chase. I imagine the feel of his embrace. The warmth of his body next to mine. The intellectual chats that chime. The taller, broader shoulder girth. The fun, the laughter and the mirth. The knowing that I am safe. Looked after, cared for, encased. In love... that elusive feeling. Then reality bites, sends me reeling. I'm older, wiser and know right well, I must retreat inside my shell. Fantasies are for the young. I too often have been stung. The thrill I find is in the chase. I give up all hope of that embrace.

For my age, I am most attractine J. Beauty is only sin deep. Beneath, there is a fractured heart, resulting in a lost soul.
