The Chance
I am empty and cold
I can feel whats left of my heart
Beating in my chest
Time for a brand new start
Maybe I'm right
Quite possibly I'm wrong
A risk i take for sanitys sake
I'm singing a new song
A chance to make something better
From this shell of a human being
A chance to become someone else
Where my walls and defensives I'll need
I've learned so much these last few months
I'll never let my guard down again
Not at work, play or home
I'm not letting anyone else in
No longer cavlier
In matters of the heart
No longer waiting for
My brand new start
If I want it I have to take it
So here I am world
Can't wait to take you on
And see my future unfurl
