The Cat Lady

She talks to her cats, they don't reply, But that doesn’t stop her, no need to ask why. They rule the house, with paws so neat, Demanding attention, a cozy seat. Her wardrobe's a rainbow of fur and thread, A cat-shaped mug, a pillow in red. She buys them treats, not one, but three, And when they nap, she sips her tea. Her friends all say, "You need a break," She smiles and whispers, "I’ll be awake." For in the night, they gather near, Whiskers twitching, the purrs so clear. They are her world, and she’s their queen, The cat lady, reigning serene.

Cats speak with their paws...I adore cats Alesia, and I'm sure they stare at your heart when you least suspect it. This is a cute poem...J.A.B.

Hello Alesis leach, I enjoyed reading this poem. I had to put down my cat. She had several health problems. Reading this poem makes me think of my cat Sparkles. The times we spent together. Hugs. /Darlene/
