The Carillon
The Carillon
Bell
Tower
Ashes smolder
Firey shadows linger
Dull fingerprints of smoke on chimes
Silencing carillon’s song of the hours
Heaven’s breath stirs an angelus
Rouses
Bells
Denny Hall at the University of Washington was almost destroyed by fire. The campus carillon was in Denny Hall but restored when the building was rebuilt. The carillon’s music is treasured and marks the hours of the day.
