The Call of the Eagle

A POEM

DIVINE

You are an eagle
That dwells on a mountain
Us the eagles on the mountain
Are calling you back to your fountain
Hear the echoes of our voices
Come back...!
Remember always that a chicken pen is not your abode
When you fly back here, you will be near
We shall teach you never to fear
When you weep we shall wipe your tears
You we shall train, even to gain from your pain
Us on the mountain
In our hearts we hold you dearly
Chickens will not force us to abandon you...
For you are an eagle that dwells on a mountain!
