The Call of Love

You call to me softly
As you have done before
… I listen.

My heart grows saddened
Because I know I have drifted.
Your Love pulls me back, regardless.

It is a never ending Love.
I need only to realize it's depth
Your love I need only to accept

I need greater faith, in Your Love for me
To rest in the knowledge, Your plan for my life
That You have set in motion.

To resign to the fact
That You have only good things in store
For those who listen.

I desire to be obedient,
To wait on the still small voice
It gently and lovingly guides all who love You.

I hold tight to Your promise:
’Seek ye first the Kingdom of God,
and all things shall be added unto thee.’

You have promised to meet me
At every point in my life
Where I act upon my prayer of faith.

Let my eyes be blind to the appearance of things
And see only what can be.
Help my faith to grow in strength and measure.

Let me not faint as adversity falls upon my household.
Cause my heart and soul to hold fast
And allow not doubt to take hold
