The Butterfly Inside Me

I have a butterfly inside me
 She simply won't be tamed
   She tugs at me politely
Driving me insane

   Her flutters are relentless
The jitters make me tickle
   Quite the exotic temptress
A wildly addictive riddle

   Boldly vibrant hues
Art from the tiniest hands
   Her natural tattoos
Stir a mystical romance

   Imprisoned by limitations
Of monotonous routines
   Longing for sensations
The ingredients of dreams

   By rules, she won't abide
A rebellious, stubborn, liberal
   Look deeply in my eyes
And you'll see her in my soul
