The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

The Burn

From deep inside me
the burning comes

beginning with a single lonely flicker
when I’m starved for your love

growing into a white hot flame
when I’m holding you close

mixing your breath and mine
with your body besides mine.

Only you control this burning love
I have for you…

which I will save until you are ready
to be set on fire.
