The Burden of Atlas Is Still Light
Teardrops carrying within them pieces of my soul
Falling for the sake of your heart
Fragile as glass
I can't bear to see you break…
Listen to the howls
Crying to a pale moon
Echoing in the emptiness
Chanting for demise…
A step towards the edge
Winds crying, tearing at my eyes
What lies beyond? Beneath?
The cliffs crumble
Winds still scream
The skies still bleed
And I stand fast
Mist settles
The silence remains chaotic
Why do you hide from me?
Turn away…
Cast me aside into the dark…
I still call for you
Still fear for you
I can't bear to see you lost…
Though stumbling in the dark
Though gasping for light
Hope still rests within my heart
In you…
I take my seat upon the water's surface
And brace myself for the burden…
The weight of trying seems far lighter than that of waiting…
Atlas knows nothing of burdens…
