The Bunkers

Edith was a saint in every sense of the word.
Things she endured today would be considered absurd.
Edith was a homemaker who stood by her man so near.
She tried to make Archie happy and keep him with a beer.

Archie was an old school, hard working type of man.
He didn't take to change and few people he could stand.
Archie was abrasive as sandpaper, Edith gentle as a dove.
Archie was a bigot that only a naive dingbat could've loved.

So good to see this placed well. Congrats. OH my, I guessed wrong about you from your name Wren. I see below that you compare yourself to Archie, not Edith. I never met anyone named WRen before. Such an intersting name.

Archie is a very exaggerated version of my husband hahaha. And I am a tiny bit like Edith. In other words, some women today would not tolerate what I put up with all my life. haha. I loved this show. It really opened up the world to brutal honesty in sitcoms. GREAT couple to do for the challenge.

Somebody had to love him. He softened a bit over time. She certainly brought a diverse group into his sad life.
