The Broken Road To Heaven

The broken road to heaven

The broken road in need of maintenance
through which we have traveled, mute and solemn
to our delight
was alight with millions of glow bugs;
evening was another leaf fallen
when I whisper to my friend Richard,
“Is it heaven? Have we arrived at last?”
he smiled, “we are yet to reach my home.”

home is such a relative term. I wonder if Richard and you had the same concept on where your home truly is. Very interesting idea, love the glow bug imagery in this as well. -Yoni

Interesting approach to the way you see the road. I like the idea that there is a friend on the road. Thanks for sharing, Caroline.

"was alight with millions of glow bugs;" Great imagery! I love this. The ending was a nice touch. Great write - arch
