The Broken Road
The road to you was torture.
The first fourteen years of my life
I walked on glass shards,
Swam with blood thirsty sharks,
Crawled on hot embers,
Walked on a tightrope over a cliff.
I had no idea what my destination was
But I prayed every night that it would be soon.
Then I met you.
And suddenly it was all worth it.
I would do all of it again over and over and over if it could
guarantee you’ll stay with me forever.
