The Bridge

The Bridge

The Bridge
We have developed a call to the great here after
A call to help our fellow man from sea to shining sea
I seen pain through the hour glass of time
Love has gained it also has lost humanity's heaviest of cost
The whole of our hearts is bound with each other
 A passing gift to friends
 Sometimes they were lovers
It's the only thing that makes the soul smile
 A variable of emotions
Since love is worth while we need this now,
For every society of prose and the duty is ours
 Is the question we pose
Will we still love when the heart of humans is spent
Or will we ask; where all the money went ?
My heart is broken that's not something I can fake
It's torn to pieces but it's still yours to take
The bridge is the gap between love & hate
Some call this a quest in search of fate
There are lines being drawn in the sand
Merciful one come take this chip off my shoulder
Stop the senseless fighting as are nation grows a bit colder
Let's look above to the heavenly love
To become a beacon of hope to a hurting world in need
Stop the hate & make a move toward love
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plough
