Like flowers love dew and earth needs the sun,
I want you and look up to you, Darling, for
you are my half, the much better one,
the man that I love, the man I adore.
My love for you - like the sea - is deep.
I ask you, my dear, that always you’ll be
the light of my world, and that you will keep
your love sparkling down like sunbeams on me!
How happy I am to soon be your wife.
Together as one, like tides may we flow
through the highs and lows of this precious life.
An ocean of devotion I will show!
Plunge with me, Darling, soon into the blue.
All I can give you I now pledge to you.
