Line, your poignant pen reflects your mourning, yearning and the coming-to-terms with emotions of loss that is still so new. So very moving, so very sadly beautiful. Congratulations for your wonderful win in Brian’s contest.. ~Susan

Congratulations on your win. A "Beautiful" write. Many years ago, I picked up the box on Dec 24 (a loved one). I know how you must be feeling/hurting. I am so very sorry. Blessings be on you with Hugs.......

Your words are so real, Line. That feeling when it hits home that our loved one is gone, truly gone, symbolized by the box of ashes in our hands. The melancholy image you selected is so perfect to illustrate these words. I loved the line "for days walking in a daze". I know this is still very fresh for you, and it amazes me you are able to be so lucid to write like these even as you recover from the shock of it all. You have a marvelous gift, my friend ~ John
