The Boy's Addiction

Just a word to say how much your presence is missed,

Kind words, soft words and soft skin.

Smiles are hard to come by even after a charade

Of making stranger’s laugh as a way to hide pain.

Intoxication’s help hide truth,

Especially when living a lie,

Hiding feelings and whilst waiting patiently for time to pass.

Time always takes longer to pass when waiting for infatuation and more.

Why does timing effect what should have been,

Could have been and what would have been?

To close your eyes and remember the little things

From a scent to a nose, like the scent of a rose.

To close your eyes and picture all that you want,

But know its still out of reach.

Soft, kind, gentle and pure, an addiction has you always wanting more...
