The Book Is Broken
don't thumb to page twenty six;
the book is broken.
profiteering is proving to be
more useful than
words softly spoken.
wave ya hands 'round
and take down the banners
that hung since
we heard the new sound.
they ain't allowed
no more.
shoes crafted
from pure pleather.
updated ethics
and a concern
for the weather.
