The Book

Prelude--
Dear one:
If you read the Book,
then your intentions are of good.
Clear your mind of the cloudiness of
vain and deceitful thoughts.

Know this:
The law has always been the law;
irrevocable, reaching though the vicissitudes of infinity.
From which all intelligence is born and fulfills the reason of its creation.

By disobedience you lose the power to overcome all things.
You become prey to the enemy...the darkness within yourself.
That which corrupts all mankind.

Obey! That you may be softened by pain and want.
Love can be the path toward kindness and difference.
Enlighten the mind by understanding gained through small steps.
Great works come from a thirst to overcome. Feel your way through
when you no longer see the light and rise through courage, again,
to continue when fallen.

From the depths of despair, let compassion refresh you,
magnifying your soul so everything is possible.
So was the path to infinite goodness for God.
Even before he was, his law has always been the law:
Though the miracles of time and space, stars and heavens
may be altered tomorrow, His law is law.
And though God gave himself to make you clean; each act of love,
each difference, each loyalty add to your greatness.
Your works and your deeds in seeking the light may follow you into eternity.
But neither God nor the devil will help you into the light,
only your own decision.

If these things were not so
how would man fulfill his greatness?
Where would be the joy in your soul, on the day you face Him
and say as His child, that you have conquered all things.
Heaven has been opened for you.
You have come home.

Hi , the book must be great to inspire such an awsome poem. WOW! Your poem took me back many years ago and many bad choices I made. The darkness is really dark! I really like; all things may be altered tomorrow, but His law is law! I am glad He found me and helped me make a decision to serve Him. Thanks for the very inspiring words.

Charles, there is so much truth written within these words. The everyday choices we make define who we are - sometimes we forget how important the little choices are in life - I was once prone to making the most horrible life choices a person could possibly make - today I think about each choice I make and the eventual outcome each choice will render - Then I hand them over to God and wait until I receive an answer - needless to say, my life is beautiful now, God Bless, mj

To all who have not read this book. If you believe in a greater being. Please get it. Borrow it or whatever. If for nothing more than to read the debate between the "Man of Holiness and Asmodius (evil) which is in the epilogue of the first book of the series. Anne Perry's Philosophy is phenomenal. Charles
