The Bond

It was a bond thought to be so
strong
To hold each other up when
they are down.

As time went on
And the years gone by

That so called bond
Was anything but that.

A long need to feel wanted
A long want to feel needed
To be the one they run to
When everything else goes
wrong.

Time kept ticking
The bond became faded,
Gone.

Close by blood
Strangers by heart

Day and night
It'll always be the same

Being alone,
That's what it became.

Forever apart
Spirits drift into the abyss.

The start of a new
But the end of the rest of the
few.

Isolation was the beginning
The hearts fondness became so
dim.
No turning back now
It's just a bond torn apart
anyhow.

A bridge to cap this gap?
To heal the wounded souls.

A bond thought to be so strong
To hold each other up when
they are down.
Faded away with a tear,
Words without a sound.
