Notes About The Poem

The Body Electric

The Body Electric

Oh those lovely vibrant auric hues
emanating energy from the etheric body,
from the power of the spinning wheels,
each chakra our passionate souls relay
through unseen radiant colors
vibrating at higher frequencies than
our eyes can detect in an aura of
colored lights that shares our emotions,
our thoughts, spiritual, and physical wellbeing.

Each color transponds to our body's
seven chakras of red from the root,
orange from the sacral, yellow from the navel,
green from our heart chakra, blue from our throat,
and indigo from our third eye, lastly purple/white
from our crown chakra a special camera can capture.
Our visual, audial and tactile sensations
transform our aura colors instantly.

Peaceful and melodic music will convert
colors to a calming blue hue. Upbeat music
will transform to hues of red and yellows.
Love vibrates in orange and reds or deep pink.
If you want a rainbow of colors to gift you with
total balance view a peaceful scene,
watch a good movie, read inspiring poetry,
listen to beautiful tunes, or take some time
to meditate, become serene...
and your aura will reflect a
kaleidoscope of colors.
We are the masters of our moods,
the creators of our colors.

Your poem recalled some of what I've learned about auras and "vibrating frequencies" in "The Celestine Prophecies." At the end, the Mayans vanish as they vibrate to another plane, explaining what became of their people. Somehow, I picture you in bright, yellow hues. It's too bad you exceeded the line limit because I think this is a winner! Hugs, Carolyn (Fave)

Words of wisdom...so true how positive energy heals and transcends all manner of negativity. I'm 52 yes old --- no gray hair, beer belly, I can still play sports with college students, and I'm a smoker. I deal with stress swiftly and would prefer to smile at even death should it come; there is much happiness to be found if one is willing to find it. 'Seek and you shall find..' Great chakra write Connie!;-)

goodness, Connie, reading this I wonder what MY colors are feeling half the time like I am in an alien's body. I think when I watch my movies or write poems, I am drifting into beautiful colors. Very nice poem about something very important to you. You could shorten it up and still post it (combine some lines together!)

I really like your take on the contest Connie. The picture is also a nice touch but it is not as colourful as the poem. Hugs Rick.

Do you do Yoga Connie because my Yoga teacher always talks to us about it, and when I'm meditating she says I have a pink and lilac aura/chakra around me. A Great write - will print and take it to my next yoga lesson. Blessings, Jennifer.
