The Boardwalk Pier
every year I used to visit a place down by the sea
the boardwalk pier
pizza stands with fresh fried dough
expossed to the sea shell band with family & friends
let the reader understand
bars with beers flowing
was a socialized wandering wizard
frisbee guy and the man playing guitar by the off shor bar
the smell of sea salt & taffy
sunlit morn rolling waves in song
beautiful women in bikinis
playing hacky sack in the back
into the surf I go
Sand in my shoes singing its blues
honk of the horn souped up Nova
listening to the radio hearing Huey Lewis & The News
lobsters galore down at the neighborhood store
shopping for T shirts would often flirt
with the ladies nothing to shady
playing arcade games with friends
going down the water slide
suntan lotion
sipping on cherry Coke cause that's my potion
