The Blue
After the darkness envelopes you
Nothing feels right, it’s all new
The earth around you is crumbling
Once on a high, you’re now tumbling
What was once smooth, is now cracked
The steps were taken, there’s no going back
The rain no more a pleasant shower
Now, a sound so strong, the dead cower
But a little bird’s still flying through the storm
Its tiny wings beat softly, alive against the norm
Grab hold to this tiny thing
Follow it, don’t let it go, cling!
For this is your hope, your light
It’s your key to a new world, vanquish the night
The sun will shine once again,
Its where, not when
